Our deposit for Budgetel is $50, cheerfully returned upon departure with a room check. We do not wish to keep your deposit, so please protect our linens and do not allow anyone in your group to smoke in or near our rooms. This includes all combustible materials, we simply cannot have the potential dangers or additional cleaning cost of open flames of any kind in our hotel.
The goal of Chattanooga’s Budgetel is operate the most affordable rate class while still providing quality basic services. Our rooms have TV, phone, mini-fridge, microwave, private bathroom, vanity, heat/air, lamp, charging plugs by the bed and all in a great location. We have coffee at the front desk 24 hrs.
Budgetel is not a classic pet-friendly hotel. At our rate class, pet damage we experience is extremely costly and hurts our ability to provide super low rates for the next traveler. We understand you may love to travel with your pet and still get a great hotel rate! We’ve absorbed far too much pet damage to accept them without proper preparation and respect for our housekeepers. If you bring a dog, it must be under 40 lbs. Dogs must be crated when you are away, cannot disturb other guests and must be taken outside regularly. Pet fee is $100 for up to 7 days, and a major credit card must be on file. We cannot accept cats.
You name it. Exit 1 is both an entry point and center of the Chattanooga metro region. We’re minutes away from Hamilton Place, and we have outstanding local restaurants as close as walking distance from Budgetel. Downtown and Lookout Mountain are also very accessible from Exit 1.

At one time, over 800 people lived on the property – for now we operate one building up front for essential hotel services. Our area is quiet, however our gate and fence remain from the days when we had hundreds of people and their belongings and vehicles to watch after. As some of our buildings will be going under redevelopment soon, we felt it wise to leave our fence and gate in place.
